When was the last time you had fun at work? Fun and laughter builds connections between people. It knocks down barriers and makes us realise we’re all just people at the end of the day (even if you’re Richard Branson). This is the second time in a week I’ve heard ‘fun’ being prioritised at work. Nick Wheeler OBE, Chairman and founder of Charles Trywhitt regularly asks his employees whether working for the retailer is fun. He realises it’s important they are enjoying their work, having fun and focuses on the reasons the very small % that say they aren’t. This approach can boost patient satisfaction and expedite recovery.
