Season 9 of The Great Indoors wrapped up yesterday, marking one of the most exhilarating chapters in the show's history. Over the past three months, we've explored the evolving role we play in an increasingly digital world—a role constantly reshaped by the rapid ascent of generative AI.
The conversations have been electrifying, emotional, and deeply thought-provoking. We've ventured into the metaphysical, the existential, and beyond, guided by some of the most brilliant minds in the industry—and the world.
But there’s no time to pause. Today, the TGI team heads to Barcelona to kick off Season 10 live at @MWC, where we'll also celebrate a milestone: our 100th episode.
Join us in Hall 3, Stand 3G10—listen in, engage with our discussions, and even step up as a guest on the industry's #1 podcast.
A heartfelt thank you to all our guests from Season 9. This journey was extraordinary because of you.

To me, storytelling is the last bastion of humanity. Yeah, I think that's remarkably deep, actually. When we look at this world of digital hyper abundance and automation at scale, the authenticity, creativity lived in experiences of human beings will never be replaced, ever. We need to value it. We need to recognize that it's precious. If we don't value it, then we'll let go of it easily. We don't recognize. It exists and that it is precious. Then we're not going to safeguard it. We're not gonna insist on it. I think storytelling isn't just about writing books and scripts. I think it's pretty much about everything that we do. You can't get through life without telling stories. They're the ways by which we socialize information and social facts. Everyone is a storyteller. I think lawyers tell a story. I think doctors tell a story. I think successful people tell the best stories. The surprising twists and turns are fascinating. And So what I'm looking for. When that happens is I'm looking for stories and insights that can stir the pot, right? It's so fundamental to how we work. We don't realize how important it is unless the intervention of parents, storytellers, or people of a of a studied mind come to the fore. We're going to breed a generation of people that are not going to know how to tell a full story. The last decade or more in TV and film was really defined by the disruption of content. Distribution and I think the next decade will be defined by the disruption of content creation. Jared AI will have the same sort of effect. Chechik, he's a great storyteller. Now every single person has access to a co-author. It has become my thought partner and I sometimes just use it in my in in in audio form. And I just I just talked to it. Essentially what AI allows us to do is to have a conversation with the totality of recorded human knowledge. It doesn't mean the AI writes it for me. I, I take the first draft and then I, you know, I kind of like, help me, help me judge this underneath the, the hope and the dread that surrounds new technologies and AI. And there's also a curiosity, I think, that the AI starts looking more and more human. They can. Mimic emotion, but they don't actually have emotions. The styles of stories have changed. The medium through which we consume stories has changed, but people still love, they still get angry. They still experience envy. For whatever reason. That that struck me. I mean, I've got goosebumps now. I mean, it was like electricity. Oh my God, the the joy that it brings you. Amazing. Exactly the way that you just got up and it blew my mind. I want us to Co create the future that works, you know, for humanity to draw humanity together as one. I have never felt so famous in my entire life until this until this podcast, until this podcast. So you know, I'm going places now. Thanks for listening to the Great Indoors.
