Huge day. Crunchbase just relaunched an AI-powered, predictive company intelligence solution. We’re moving beyond historical data, showing people not just what happened to a company yesterday or today, but what will happen to that company tomorrow. From The Wall Street Journal: "Based on Crunchbase’s own testing, its fundraising predictions are up to 95% accurate. Last year, the company predicted that AI startup Anthropic had a 74% probability of raising cash. Anthropic raised $2 billion in January. Last October, Crunchbase predicted that the startup Coda, maker of a productivity platform, would be acquired with a 93% probability. The company was bought by Grammarly, maker of an AI-based writing assistant, two months later." Gift link to the full article in the comments
Congrats on the relaunch & coverage!
This is cool, but accuracy is not the right metric for a dataset that’s likely heavily imbalanced 🤔
Nice one Matt Schulman. I was speaking with someone recently about AI (maybe it was Ivan Nikkhoo) who said the winners are going to be the companies who have the data. Chatbots are only as good as the data they can "trawl." As more and more VCs lean into AI, I think what you're doing is valuable and could make a lot of sense!
Matt!!! WSJ!!! Ahhhhh!!!
Excited to show the world more of this at HumanX with CEO jager mcconnell!
Congrats Matt, it's a big step forward
wow. this is insane, love it. Congrats!
