Only few people can say they have a Master’s degree from Harvard University and a PhD from the University of Cambridge. Angela Aristidou is one such person. Angela speaks, writes and consults about the deployment of digital and AI tools in health, MedTech and pharma, higher education, nongovernmental organizations and nonprofits. Currently Angela is a Fellow at the Digital Economy Lab of the Stanford Institute for Human-Centered Artificial Intelligence (HAI). She holds a large research grant by UK Research and Innovation, leading a multi-disciplinary team of researchers to examine the implementation of digital innovations in the UK, U.S., China and Canada. Angela is an international award-winning academic (among other: Fulbright; CASBS), and has been included in U.S. and UK expert panels on the development of AI regulation for open-source AI in tech, for Generative AI in higher education and research, for AI implementation in clinical care. I am so glad we finally met in person here in Chicago during the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) annual meeting today. If you ask yourself what a professor of strategy and entrepreneurship is doing at the largest radiology conference globally … Angela is invited to speak on AI adoption strategies. With more and more FDA and other regulatory approvals for AI-infused applications, one would expect broader adoption across the health ecosystem. Here is the link to her paper on the topic (“Bridging the chasm between AI and clinical implementation”) that she published together with Eric Topol, MD in The Lancet —> https://lnkd.in/eK8dn-sW Later today Angela will share a synthesis of her latest research on evidence-based strategies to bridge the chasm between AI in-development and AI in-context, in real-world settings. #AI #artificialintelligence #radiology #digitalhealth
