🚀 Series A and B Investments Surge in H1 2024 🚀 In an intriguing uptick, the venture market saw significant activity in the first half of 2024. Khosla Ventures, General Catalyst, and Andreessen Horowitz were the most prominent Series A and B investors. Their increasing pace of investments indicates a positive shift in venture markets compared to last year. Khosla Ventures notably led Series B rounds in companies such as Koloma, Waabi, and Rad AI. Meanwhile, General Catalyst led the Series B for Collaborative Robotics and co-led the Mistral round. Andreessen, although slightly less active than in previous years, still held a prominent position by co-leading the Series B in ElevenLabs and leading the Series A in Ideogram. 🔍 Analysing the data shows healthcare, biotech, and AI as the leading sectors attracting these investments. Of the 125 Series A and B rounds in H1 2024, AI-related companies made up 40%, while healthcare/biotech occupied 25%. Again we were talking earlier how new regulations open up new markets, Right? This product wouldn't have been created unless those regulation came into place and so a really good source for inspiration for research or for startups is to say what regulations are currently being proposed that might get approved in the next year or two or three, and how can we start researching back now? So that when the regulations in place, we have a solution ready for the market.
