Security Director for Mexico & Central America

From February 11 to 14, I participated in the NAM Security Pulse event in Mexico City, welcoming teams from Canada, USA, Mexico, and Central America. It was an incredible experience, as we gained insights into the security strategy that will be implemented for 2025. We also attended enriching keynote speeches by Carlos Manuel Lopez Portillo Maltos on USA-Mexico geopolitical risks particularly along the border and John Rodriguez, MA presented some innovative security culture concepts that I'd suggest every security department should learn from him. @Frank Z. discussed the risks of grey market proliferation, while Maggie Blankenship, SHRM-SCP highlighted the importance of inclusive leadership and diversity in the workplace, which helped the team get to know each other better! We were also honored to heard from Jesús Carmona Zone President for Mexico and Central America; Adriana Arreola VP of HR for Mexico and Central America; and Carlos Piña Director of the Legal Area for Mexico and Central America who encouraged us to grow and highlighted Mexico as a hub of intellectual manufacturing. Brian Olsen Head of Global Security shared global security plans, and my supervisor, Jim Snodgrass, CPP, CFE VP of Security for NAM and Central America, has been a fundamental pillar, supporting and guiding us to achieve remarkable outcomes. I must acknowledge that what is now a reality was once a dream that I worked diligently to achieve. While it may seem easy now, achieving this dream took effort and trust as this is key to for both business and personal objectives. Therefore, it is always essential to dream and to dream big. Thank you to the Security Team for your trust and belief in this project; together, we are and will continue to be the best in the world !!! *“Ganamos Juntos o perdemos juntos”* #IMPACTMakers #Makingthingshappen Byron Lawson, CPP, CPTED-D, A.L.I.V.E.
