I enjoyed the chance to connect with Jenna Fisher to share more about my latest venture, FLI MD | Female Longevity Institute, where we’re changing the way we approach women's healthcare during perimenopause and menopause. After years leading Sunrun and sitting on corporate boards, I took a step back and realized something alarming: too many talented, experienced women were stepping away from leadership roles in midlife—not because they wanted to, but because their bodies and minds were struggling in ways they didn’t fully understand. The truth is, perimenopause and menopause bring real physiological changes—from brain fog and sleep disruption to confidence loss and increased chronic disease risk. Yet, most longevity medicine and cutting-edge health solutions have overlooked women. That’s why I sought out the guidance and expertise of leaders in their respective fields, including Felice Gersh, MD, to launch FLI MD, a data-driven longevity clinic that integrates comprehensive diagnostics, preventative care, and personalized health strategies—helping women stay at the top of their game, personally and professionally. This isn’t just about health. It’s about power, leadership, and keeping brilliant women in the workforce when their expertise is needed most. #Longevity #WomensHealth #Leadership #FLIMD #ToTheTop

In my ongoing pursuit of getting more women to the top, I reached out to my friend Lynn Jurich. I wanted to learn about Lynn's latest venture, the FLI MD | Female Longevity Institute, which is revolutionizing how we approach women's health during perimenopause and menopause, a time when many women step away from or downshift their careers.   After 16 years as co-founder and CEO of Sunrun (which had a $20B valuation under her leadership), founding Lunar Energy (a home battery company), and sitting on many corporate boards, Lynn took a beat to think about her next move. It was during that time—when she was also teaching at Stanford University Graduate School of Business—that she began to recognize the lack of comprehensive care for women during their peak professional years. She noticed that many of her female peers in their mid-to-late 40s were starting to lose confidence and drop out of the workforce, just when the world needed them more than ever. She also noticed that the rapid emergence of longevity medicine and AI-driven preventative healthcare was primarily focused on men.   “I decided to dig into why this was happening to women my age and realized, wow, the perimenopausal/menopausal phase comes with real physiological changes. Another thing I realized is that chronic disease starts to develop in midlife and is not an inevitable outcome of aging," Lynn told me. “Just when women should be at the height of their professional power, they’re suffering—physically and mentally. Their brains are not functioning in the way they expect. They’re not getting good sleep. Their bodies are changing. Of course they’re losing confidence.”    Lynn teamed up with Felice Gersh, MD, a gynecologist in her early 70s who embodies exactly the kind of healthy, vibrant working woman Lynn expects herself to be in a few decades. In addition to the advanced diagnostics offered at other longevity clinics, FLI MD is pioneering a data-driven approach to women’s healthcare that includes detailed hormone mapping and comprehensive testing that many cutting-edge health clinics overlook. The goal is to help women lead healthy, well-informed, productive lives through a combination of hormone therapy and lifestyle changes, and to catch any chronic disease at their earliest stages.    Yes, it’s a healthcare initiative. But FLI MD is fundamentally about maintaining women's presence in positions of power and influence during their most experienced years. By addressing these overlooked health challenges, FLI MD is working to ensure women can continue to lead and innovate at the height of their wisdom and capability—which matters to all of us.   What are your thoughts on the intersection of women's health and leadership? How can organizations do more to support women during these critical career phases? #tothetop
