🚀 Transforming Strategic Planning into Something Meaningful  🌟 Last week, I had the privilege of facilitating a strategic planning workshop with the talented staff of the San Angelo Chamber of Commerce, and the results were nothing short of inspiring! What set this experience apart? Instead of focusing on challenges and problem-solving, we embraced the 5I Appreciative Inquiry framework and the @xchange facilitation approach. This approach allowed us to tap into the strengths and values of the group, exploring what they collectively dream of achieving for the San Angelo community and brainstorming ways to make that vision a reality. Using xchange facilitation questions, we shifted the focus to: ✅ Identifying the team's core strengths and what they’re already doing well. ✅ Imagining the possibilities for San Angelo’s future. ✅ Innovating possible strategies that might bring their visions to life. 🌟What truly stood out during the workshop was the energy, excitement, and deep engagement of every participant. Not only did the group come away with forward-thinking possibilities, but they also formed stronger connections with one another. The result? A strategic plan rooted in hope, positivity, and a shared commitment to making a difference for San Angelo. 💡 Here’s to challenging the status quo of how things usually go in strategic planning sessions and the incredible things that happen when we focus on what’s possible!
