Monday Mediations~ The process is the product... Brands spend fortunes on celebrity endorsements and FOMO marketing, but none of it can match the satisfaction of something done right. Designers and marketers ~~, our real job? Making the why clear, not forcing desire. I’ve always wondered: why don’t more watch ateliers invite buyers to witness the magic? Why isn’t it more common for horologists to work in front of aficionados, transforming the mechanical process into a shared experience? The process itself: hypnotic, unforgettable. And if that’s too deep, this video is still peak satisfaction. Watch it~you’ll feel better about it being Monday. --- #inspiration #luxury #marketing
I had an opportunity to do this in a watch studio- it is fantastic and terrifying and the hands were so fine I couldn’t get them on the face at first. It’s amazing how these artisans can build a timepiece!

Art at the highest level!
I did some watch design a while back in my career. One of the most satisfying products to produce. A very tangible result taking layers of CADs and tech drawings and turning them into the real thing in 3D. So many small parts and details contribute to a very rewarding product.

Based on the fascination that visitors displayed when visiting the factory, we used the a lot at Leica Camera AG and an agency even add the idea to use it more roughly. I must admit that the IWC Schaffhausen material is a masterpiece though.
The magic isn’t just in the final product, it’s in the craft behind it. Seeing the process unfold creates a deeper appreciation. Would you buy a watch if you could see it being made in real-time?
This made me think of Grand Seiko—how they quietly let craftsmanship do the talking instead of hyping it up with gimmicks.
Bringing the craft into the spotlight would add real depth to the brand experience.
My goal is to move to Switzerland within the next two years to be around great artisans like him right here.

1dThis is wild! People don't truly understand what goes into genuine luxury behind the scenes. The time it takes to design a piece and the time it takes to craft it. It's the finer details that make all the difference!
