Yesterday I had the opportunity to speak to an Intro to Business class at The University of Tulsa sharing my entrepreneurial journey—from foster care to Capitol Hill, @whitehouse, and the heartbreak of losing my little sister. I also talked about @launchahead; the platform I’m building to support young people transitioning out of foster care, and how my journey through accelerator programs like ACT House played a vital role in bringing this vision to life. It’s wild to think that I went from having an idea to now preparing for the first version of our beta, which will be ready in October. 🙌🏽 The 24-hour hackathon was crucial in shaping Launch Ahead—it pushed me to think, build, and execute like never before. The entrepreneurial spirit was always within me, but it wasn’t until I saw others doing it that I realized I could too. That spark was reignited, driving me forward even when the path has been dark, lonely, and filled with doubt. It’s not easy—there are days of depression and isolation—but finding community with other founders reminds me that I’m not alone. We keep going, not because the journey is easy, but because the passion burning within us is too powerful to ignore.
