On 9 May 2024, The authority's MOM audited the safety case intervention plan (IP) at the Air Liquide Singapore J9/J12 Facility. Following that, they conducted a site inspection on heat stress management using wet bulb globe temperature meters (WBGT) for workplace measurements. Yesterday, July 19, 2024, we had a Core Strengths SDI 2.0 team insights review session during our Vendor Master team meeting at ExxonMobil. It was a great satisfaction to bring this tool to the team and present this initiative along with Lucas Vian. Through SDI 2.0, we will be able to better understand our motivations and behaviors in different situations, both in day-to-day activities and under stress. This tool will help us to: ✅ Improve communication with colleagues by identifying what motivates each person and adjusting our approaches for more effective collaboration. ✅ Strengthen relationships in the workplace by better understanding how each person reacts to conflict and how we can resolve these situations constructively. ✅ Increase team effectiveness by strategically using our strengths and valuing the strengths of our colleagues. I would like to thank the team for their interaction during and after the meeting. I believe tools like SDI 2.0 are essential for professional growth and for building a more harmonious and productive work environment. Let’s continue to develop and support each other! Best Job I’ve ever had was at FMC now known as TECHNIPFMC. My favorite place I’ve worked was ExxonMobil. It was contract but it was still fire!!! There were plenty of growth opportunities at FMC, they trained you well to make sure you were properly prepared to do the job, and I met some of the most awesome people that some I still talk to today. To be honest I thought I’d retire from there but God had other plans. Exxon probably would have taken first place in my heart, but I fell out of love with how the contract situation was being handled. I ventured on elsewhere and I’ve been venturing on ever since. I share this to say if you’re thinking about leaving you’re current situation outweigh all the pros and cons heavily! I know some situations run its course and there’s nothing to do to repair the partnership, but if it isn’t completely broken don’t try to fix it. Ride out the peaks and valleys. Find that thing that made it easy for you to get up and fight traffic for that opportunity once again. It’s hard finding places that honor partnerships, doesn’t hide financial hardships from their employees, or just outright value your presence. At the end of the day peace is everything. I also understand that you can’t be afraid to take chances in the name of growth, but if something has been good to you hold on to it just a bit longer. Besides….. I don’t think hiring managers like seeing a ton of job switches in such a short period of time even if the story does add up 🤷🏽♂️. As always, Stay blessed out here y’all!

A day in life of a #territorymanager of Shell! One of the reasons I look forward to work every week is to connect and collaborate with young talents from various parts of the businesses in #ShellMalaysia as we come together as one community to support one another in our own personal career journeys. Last week, we were fortunate to have had the chance to visit a retail station in #kualalumpur to learn roles and responsibilities of a territory manager and how a retail station operates. It is always so inspiring and heartwarming to hear stories and personal experience of those who are in our retail stations serving our customers. Understanding the importance of safety and how the culture of learner mindset is embedded throughout the ecosystem of Shell, enabling everyone to bring their best self to work and contribute to their own #PoweringProgress journey is definitely eye opening to a large extent. In many conversations I have had in the past with senior leaders and coaches, a key idea that provoked my mind was how we should understand the landscape and ecosystem of our organization and businesses we support so we have better understanding of how our actions translate into the bigger goals of the organization we take pride to work at. This was one of those moments in which I got to understand the ecosystem of the retail station and it's operations. Definitely going to pay more attention to these details when I pump petrol next!
