I’m so proud to see this program get the recognition it deserves, and especially grateful to our Virginia Mason Franciscan Health Food & Nutrition Services staff who play an enormous role in making sure our communities have access to fresh healthy food. In the first 6 months of this program at St. Joseph Medical Center in Tacoma, we provided 895 meals and diverted more than 1000 pounds of waste from landfills.
