Excited to share our recent article on "Drug Product Formulation and Fill/Finish Manufacturing Process Considerations for AAV-based Genomic Medicines"! While AAV-based therapies hold immense promise, the successful translation of these therapies from bench to bedside requires meticulous attention to the process/formulation and manufacturing processes. The field, however, is still in the early stages of gaining experience with AAV stability, analytics, and manufacturing processes. Here is an effort to comprehensively summarize the current state for AAV formulation and DP mfg. processes, the screening & stabilizing strategies as well as the learnings from protein biologics to accelerate development of this promise to patients. Read the full article here: https://lnkd.in/gCuXcmVF Congratulations!! to the authors for this excellent contribution to the field.

In this interesting paper, the authors used a synthetic biology tool to better exploit the widely used GS selection marker (split intein-mediated protein ligation of GS; SiMPl-GS). The aim was to investigate if this approach could be beneficial in cell line development - especially when trying to express recombinant proteins such as multi specific antibodies. Pools expressing mAbs, created using this system, were observed to be enriched for high producers - and the system was demonstrated to be a promising approach for expressing multi specific antibodies. #celllinedevelopment #CHO #GS #syntheticbiology #selectionmarker #multispecificantibody #bispecificantibody #biotherapeutics #biopharmaceuticals https://lnkd.in/eJuyHYtf
