Shoutout to Akash PB for his outstanding victory in the "Criminal Incident Rate Forecasting" hackathon!  His solution involved comprehensive data preparation and exploration, followed by extracting temporal features and transforming categorical variables. An excellent event from Stacey Ebbs and the Threat Modeling Connect team. The cybersecurity field can seem daunting but the people here are always welcoming. We got an excellent accessible discussion for newbies facilitated by Dave Soldera, a fascinatingly in-depth process overview from Kreshnik R. and a robot dog! The newbie discussion focused on where to start and what to model. Software or whole systems? Assets or actors? and is really okay to leave out external dependencies? It was a great start to the London threat modeling meetup scene.
