After writing The Coming Wave, Mustafa Suleyman has made a TedTalk comparing AI to a "next Species". After jumping ship from Inflection AI quickly to a new leadership role at Microsoft, am I to believe that Microsoft and OpenAI are busy investing in a new species? AI as a "New Digital Species" 🔨 Suleyman's central argument is that AI has advanced to such a degree that it can no longer be considered a mere tool, but rather a new form of being that will come to permeate every aspect of our lives.
