1wI am SO GLAD I did this before I left my corporate job in 2019, Kait LeDonne! I started writing thought leadership articles on here in 2015 and built up a network of about 5k people by the time I left my job. I was so well positioned to go out on my own because I’d already put in writing reps for years prior to becoming an entrepreneur. Did I get pushback from my employer sometimes for what I shared? Yes. But I’m glad I stood by my belief that it was improtant to be present on here and to establish myself as an individual, not just an employee. My growth has been slow and steady, but knowing that, five years later, nearly 40k people follow my content on here is humbling and affirming.
