The Wall Street Journal did a great job highlighting Kobi Samboursky background and Glilot Capital Partners influence on the #VC culture. Since working with Nofar Amikam and Glilot Capital Partners as an advisor, I have been in awe by all of the founders and their experiences and passion for cyber. The most intriguing part about these founders and the Partners at Glilot is #Unit8200. Israel's venture capital ecosystem is a powerful engine driving the country's tech innovation, particularly in cybersecurity. The nation's success is rooted in a unique combination of factors, including a strong entrepreneurial culture, government support, and a steady flow of highly skilled talent. Israeli startups benefit from an environment that encourages risk-taking and innovation, backed by substantial venture capital investments. A significant contributor to this ecosystem is Unit 8200, the elite cyber and intelligence unit of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF). Often referred to as Israel's equivalent of the NSA, Unit 8200 is renowned for producing some of the world's top cybersecurity experts. The skills and experience gained in the unit are directly applicable to the private sector, where former members frequently go on to found or join leading tech startups. The impact of Unit 8200 on Israel's startup culture is profound. Its alumni have created a network of entrepreneurs and investors who share a deep understanding of both technology and security. This has fostered a culture of collaboration and innovation, with many startups emerging from informal networks of former Unit 8200 members. I'm just happy to be witness in some of the newest innovations that will protect our technical landscape. #thankYouForReading #VC #M&A #cybersecurity #startups
