Jürgen Krieg’s Post

AI is not the golden “jack-of-all-trades” goose that makes humans obsolete. Many people think: "AI takes responsibility off our shoulders." They believe the system works perfectly right away and renders humans unnecessary. In my opinion, that’s wrong. At the end of the day, humans will always be responsible. Does an autopilot take away responsibility? No. The pilot is still responsible, not the airplane. I say this as a hobby pilot. So, you can’t hold AI accountable either if something goes wrong. You will always need a human with complete oversight who can approve decisions. The same applies to flying. The pilot must know all the systems and constantly monitor them. If you believe everything runs automatically, you risk something called: Automation Complacency. This means you stop paying attention because everything works automatically. And when an incident occurs, you have no idea what’s happening or how to respond. Therefore: We don’t work against AI; we work with it. 🤝 #rethinkcompliance

Jürgen Krieg agree with you, and would add that we need to put in work to ensure this collaboration of humans and AI turns out to be to the advantage of humans!
