Norwest Venture Partners recently published their 2025 Predictions, and selfishly one point by Shiv Chaudhary stood out: "AI-enabled services will transform revenue cycle management in the healthcare industry by increasing efficiency, automating complex tasks, and improving processes like claims management and reimbursements." Shiv’s prediction aligns with what we’re already seeing at Infinx. AI-powered solutions are helping healthcare organizations reduce manual workloads, improve claims processing, and streamline reimbursements. With shrinking margins and growing complexities, providers need tools that not only solve today’s challenges but also anticipate tomorrow’s needs. If you’re curious about where else Norwest predicts healthcare and AI are headed, I recommend checking out the full article. Link in comments. What trends do you see impacting healthcare in the next year?

McKinsey & Company research predicts 2025 will be the year healthcare organizations tackle the “buy vs. build” dilemma for GenAI solutions! With nearly half of the healthcare leaders already testing proofs of concept (as seen in the infographic below), the new year will likely see a shift toward customized solutions through partnerships with tech vendors. However, some will continue looking for off-the-shelf products for specific use cases. Curious about the factors influencing these decisions? Capturing the full value of AI means enhancing capabilities beyond just technology. This chart shows six areas for organisations to master to lead the way on AI-enabled transformations. We’re finding that a subset of these is no longer enough to be successful. What’s more, the later that organisations start, the bigger the gap that they have to close on their competitors. This article looks at payers (i.e. health plan providers) in the healthcare sector, “who could find themselves in a position where industry leaders have 10 percent lower medical costs or 20 percent lower administrative costs, a daunting prospect”. Follow the link to discover the questions that leaders are asking themselves to help them rewire successfully. #ArtificialIntelligence #CapabilityBuilding #Healthcare #Transformation

Forum Ventures just released this fantastic report that about the changing tides in health tech, but this is also valuable reading for healthcare executives struggling with workforce shortages and tasked to "do more with less." Our key take aways: 1. Doing more with less, particularly as it pertains to workforce shortages, is going to require more automation of rote tasks and upskilling/leveraging your existing workforce in new/expanded ways—most likely tech-enabled. 2. Remote and hybrid care holds promise to help achieve #1 (addressing workforce challenges) but also expand access—still, we haven't seen the uptake/adoption as strongly as previously thought so much work (and innovation) remains to be done here. 3. Early detection and prevention is going to become more important—certainly AI is promising here, but we've also seen pure-prevention plays be a tougher "sell" than something that either treats a specific disease once it's already developed or causing someone's hair to be on fire today (i.e. tangible costs and poor outcomes)—unless it's a Quality measure!
