Do you know High-Level Design (HLD) and Low-Level Design (LLD) in Software Development? In the High-Level Design phase, architects focus on the overall structure and functionality. On the other hand, in the Low-Level Design phase, developers focus on the specific technical details of each component. Let's deep drive with an example: In the HLD, the architects might decide that the e-commerce website will consist of three major components: User Interface, Backend Services, and Payment Gateway. The User Interface will be responsible for handling user interactions, while the Backend Services will manage the product catalog, shopping cart, and order processing. The Payment Gateway will handle payment transactions securely. In the LLD, developers would specify the details of each component. For instance, the User Interface LLD might include wireframes for the website pages, detailing the layout, navigation, and user interactions. In the Backend Services LLD, developers would design the database schema to store product data and inventory information, implement algorithms for handling cart operations, and define APIs for communication with the User Interface. The Payment Gateway LLD would focus on integrating with a secure payment provider and handling various payment scenarios, including error handling and transaction reconciliation. By following this structured approach of HLD and LLD, the development team can efficiently collaborate, ensure a clear understanding of the system's requirements, and build a well-structured and functional e-commerce website that meets both business and user needs. A common query to my connection: What design part are you handling now? Could you provide a little more detailed experience about it? #systemdesign #design #HLD #LLD #flutter #dart #programming #coding #flutterdeveloper #developer #flutterdev #programmer#ios #appdeveloper #appdevelopment #daysofcode #code #flutterapp #mobileappdevelopment #Dart #Flutter #OOP #Coding #MobileDevelopment #AppDevelopment #startup #bussiness #flutterdeveloper #flutterdev #fluttercommunity #software #softwaredeveloper #mobile #mobiledevelopment #programminglife #tech

Year 202X - The Era of Frontend Engineers! There's been a surge in demand for UX Engineers this decade. A few are still unable to comprehend this sudden rise of Frontend Developers (Web, Android, iOS) compared to Backend Devs in this era of CloudComputing. Let's crack the Business Logic behind. 🙂 With increased competition in market, be it Amazon vs Flipkart, Netflix vs Hotstart, Uber vs OLA, it has become pivotal to deliver a better User eXp than your business rivals. Following surveys would help us understand the status quo better: * 53% of users will leave a site if it takes more than 3 secs to load. * For users to feel your app is faster, it MUST be 20% faster than your competitor Now, the rise of PaaS services, like Azure and AWS, made it phenomenally easy to manage the performance of your API servers. A couple of more dollars and voila, your server response is improved. Thus, startups prefer backend languages like Ruby or Python, which though being a little slower, increase developer productivity hence sparing the cost of hiring more Engineers. But, how to make UI respond fast? You can't just buy performant phones to your customers and say, "Hey! Here's the new iPhone, use this for a better eXperience" 😅 The only resort a company has to better their App Experience is by hiring great UX Engineers. 😉

There really should be a distinct role of Design Engineer in every organization. Design Engineering... And, if it means cutting the pay of a so-called "frontend engineer" for the former, better. Because, we as designers pay the price for when all such latter ones become "system integrators". Every frontend engineer tends to prioritize what they perceive as engineering, namely integrating backend functionality into design, and in fact, it's how they draw value, sadly, looking down on "design implementation", which they do most shoddily on rely on one-size-fits-all tools (and these days stupid AI's)... Someone should really care about how it looks with code, than how it works. At the end of the day, if it looks horrible, it sure does take away from how it works, to the extent that it's even regarded (by most people). Credit to the #DesignEngineers at Stripe, Apple, Mercury, etc.

🚀 MISTAKES WHICH AN PLATFORM SHOULD AVOID WHILE WORKING 🚀 As we build our payment platform, here are crucial lessons we've learned: 1.Neglecting UX Design: Prioritizing functionality over user experience leads to high churn rates. Invest in intuitive design for user satisfaction. 2.Underestimating Scalability:Ignoring scalability causes performance issues as user numbers grow. Plan for seamless growth from the start. 3. Overlooking Security: Weak security leaves us vulnerable to breaches. Strong protocols protect our business and users. 4.Ignoring Compliance: Non-compliance with regulations leads to legal issues. Ensure adherence for a trustworthy reputation. #StartUpInsights #UXDesign #Scalability #Security #Compliance #PaymentPlatform #Entrepreneurship --- We're on the lookout for a talented backend developer passionate about payment gateways. While investors aren’t on board yet, we believe in our vision. If you're ready to join a passionate team, DM me! 💼💡 #Hiring #DeveloperJobs #TechJobs #JoinUs #BackendDeveloper #OpportunityAwaits

As a software engineer, I’ve always been passionate about creating seamless user experiences that not only look great but also perform flawlessly. In the world of frontend development, every pixel counts. It’s about crafting intuitive interfaces, responsive designs, and smooth interactions that keep users engaged. Whether it’s building dynamic web applications with React or ensuring accessibility for all users, the frontend is where creativity meets technology. But a great frontend experience is only possible with a robust backend. That’s where my expertise extends beyond the UI, diving deep into the server-side logic that powers applications. From designing scalable APIs to managing databases and ensuring secure data flows, I focus on building reliable backend systems that support the frontend while delivering top-notch performance. In the end, it’s all about solving problems. Whether you’re looking to create a sleek website, develop a powerful app, or optimize your current systems, I’m here to help turn your vision into reality. By combining frontend finesse with backend strength, I deliver solutions that not only meet today’s needs but also scale for tomorrow’s challenges. Let’s connect and explore how we can solve problems together, leveraging the best of both worlds in software development. #SoftwareEngineering #FrontendDevelopment #BackendDevelopment #ProblemSolving #TechInnovation

It largely depends on the structure of the company. If your organization has a UX designer, product manager, and sales and marketing experts, they should take the lead and know how to interact with customers. They play a vital role in the product design process. In this context, developers should primarily focus on technical aspects during the UX design phase—yes, dev should be involved, but not in the business side of things. This includes addressing any potential errors and assessing the complexity and time required for completion. While developers can and should contribute business-related insights during the UI design phase, their main responsibility should be to resolve technical challenges rather than business concerns. In my experience, many team conflicts arise from "responsibility shifts." A UX designer only focused on graphic design and may not handle every business scenario, passing incomplete UI/UX tasks to developers. These developers might not always be in tune with market trends, which could lead to user flows that fail to meet market needs, resulting in unnecessary rework. However, if you are in a small startup team of 2 or 3 people, please forget everything I've mentioned above.
"Software developers should do what they are being told to do" No. Nope! We are professionals paid to solve problems, not executing tasks like robots. Our job is strictly related to business outcomes, we are enabling business to do what they can do. And being product development mostly a translation games between different layers, we need to be involved throughout all the chain. If I'm developing an API and I know that this specific part of the domain needs faster response time, I'll bring my case to optimise it. If I'm implementing a UI design and I realise that a flow is too complicated, forgive me, but I'll be sharing something about that. Frontend Engineers have touched first-hand hundreds of UIs, it's not an experience to ignore. Do we want to talk about companies that hire Product Engineers (PostHog), UX engineers (Google), Design Engineers (Gumroad). The need to merge some layers together it's been always there, we just didn't have the right tools or the willingness to try, just because we've always worked the way we do. Most of all while building startups, siloing is 100% detrimental.
