[Please donate] to help the grassroots, community and relief efforts of the Palisades Fire and the afflicted Town of Topanga who is still working around the clock to protect their city 2 things: 1) I've been working non-stop with Topanga specific grassroots community self-organizing doing amazing work -> we're mobilizing incredibly well, the people are amazing! this goes to help them with the projects and needs 2) I have eyes on every step of the way, from being a Council Member of this non-profit (Foundation for Human Potential), to tracking it, to seeing where the money goes (often on an itemized spreadsheet 3) there's tons of great ways to donate money and help, please consider this one if you want really good transparency and optics on how things flow (or to just support the work Victoria and I and so many others are doing https://lnkd.in/gPppHfBd #palisadesfire #TopangaSAFE #TopangaSTRONG

If this speaks to you, please consider donating here and thank you for being part of something meaningful.: https://lnkd.in/end9jnqg On 17th October, I’ll be taking on a challenge that’s both physically and mentally demanding: hiking 20 miles across 6 mountains in a single day. But what drives me isn’t the distance or the elevation. It’s the purpose behind every step. I’m doing this to support Make-A-Wish, an organisation that does something remarkable – it grants wishes to children battling life-threatening illnesses. It’s not just about the wish itself; it’s about restoring a sense of hope, joy, and possibility when it’s needed most. A single wish can ignite a spark that changes everything. Here’s the truth: this isn’t a solo journey. It’s about community, and that’s where you come in. Whether or not you’ve ever hiked a mountain, you can be part of this. You can help lift these children and their families when they need it most. Even a small contribution can have a huge impact. You’re not just donating; you’re participating in creating moments that matter – moments that give hope when it’s hardest to find. Because together, we’re not just reaching the top of a mountain—we’re helping someone else see their future with hope. In these crazy times, I'm doubling down on good work....and Trident United Way does good work. We serve ALICE (Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed)--hardworking households that just can't make ends meet. Maybe the of parents of small children are only able to work part-time jobs; maybe a senior on a fixed income sees their purchasing power shrink while the cost of living grows. I grew up ALICE. Did you? So how do we help? Trident United Way is a connector, linking people in need with agencies that can help them. Trident United Way provides direct services, whether it's funds, food, school supplies or so much more. Trident United Way runs two Resource Connection Centers, brick-and-mortar sites where we can serve our neighbors. We need more centers to reach more people. This holiday season, consider helping us ignite the light and raise funds for our next Resource Connection Center so we can reach more people in need next year and every year. Please consider a gift. A share. Creating your own fundraising page. All dollars stay in the Tri-County. Be a light this year! https://lnkd.in/euEPfbwd

Did you know that we have a team of practitioners that volunteer their time and services to offer differently abled children and adults Body Stress Release? In the words of our BSR Outreach Founder, Sure Tredoux: "Working on the various Outreaches fills my soul. It's part of my life purpose to help grow our BSR Outreach programme. BSR helps ones body to function optimally. Surely that should be available for all humans, regardless of their circumstances." See below link for some poignant moments between practitioners and the children at just one of the outreaches. https://lnkd.in/d5B-P7SX

At UNC Health Appalachian, our commitment to the health and well-being of our community goes beyond the walls of our hospitals and medical practices. We’re excited to share that we’ve donated six video laryngoscopes to two local, not-for-profit, volunteer-based rescue squads: Watauga County Rescue Squad and Linville-Central Rescue Squad. These life-saving devices will enhance emergency services throughout the High Country and help our local rescue squads deliver even better care when it matters most. https://lnkd.in/eTkfcHEw
