𝘐𝘧 𝘐 𝘸𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘢 𝘮𝘢𝘯, 𝘐 𝘸𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘢𝘭𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘥𝘺 𝘱𝘶𝘵 𝘮𝘺𝘴𝘦𝘭𝘧 𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦. I second what Jo Rocca said today at the STEM event run by Women in Technology. There’s so much I haven’t said or done because I’ve often felt like I didn’t know enough, or I was intimidated by the room. As a South American immigrant, the stigmas seem endless, and on top of that, there’s the long journey to truly feeling a sense of belonging. This event gave me the extra boost of inspiration I’m always looking for through other people's stories because, at the end of the day, you can’t dream what you can’t see. Hearing the inspiring stories of women like Kellie King, Angela Lawry-Jones MBA, RN, CHIA, Jo Rocca, and Iyari Cevallos, combined with the chance to meet new people, fuels my own path in tech. ✨ Some key tips shared by the panelists: - Do what you need to do and SHOW it to people: advocate for yourself and put yourself out there. - Be curious: raise your hand for opportunities, you never know where they might lead. - Embrace and advocate for diversity: a more diverse group fosters greater openness and curiosity. - Be yourself: though it may sound cliché, this simple advice leads us to where we truly belong. Standing room only today when Raleen Gagnontook the stage for "Raise Your Voice to Raise Your Pay" at Women Impact Tech Accelerate Conference in Chicago! A few key takeaways? 1) Don't talk yourself out of applying for your dream job because you lack a couple of skills 2) when asked what you are looking to earn, Aim High! 3) Highlighting your expertise isn't bragging, it's just good interviewing and 4) do not guess what you are worth, do some research!!

This was a great workshop on ways personal branding can drive career progression. I’d highly recommend it to anyone looking for their next steps either from their current role or a full pivot! ❓ How can we bring more women into tech? That was the main theme of a panel discussion I had the privilege and pleasure of participating in at #CODECON, a few days ago, together with Veronika Pizano, COO of Aj ty v IT. We explored a ton of issues within this complex and multifaceted topic, trying to answer pressing questions like: ✅ How can we improve the current state of women in tech? ✅ How do we break harmful and persistent stereotypes? ✅ Why and when do young girls lose interest in IT, and what does this gap signify? ✅ How do we empower retrained women? From my position at #DellTechnologies, I explained what we do—our initiatives and practical solutions for attracting new female professionals, retaining them, reskilling, training, mentoring, and empowering them at every stage of their career. Through programs like #STEMAspire, we strive to maintain a steady flow of eager, young talent and ensure the transition from academic to corporate is seamless. To me, the message is quite clear—let's continue to champion these initiatives, create an environment where everyone has the opportunity to thrive in tech and let's support organizations like AjTyvIT , they deserve it for their work and contribution to society!
