Thankyou NARUC! Throughout my career, I’ve been involved in dozens of international activities ranging from service as a Peace Corps volunteer to managing USAID funded local government support tasks throughout the world. I was fortunate to participate in several NARUC International initiatives over the last few years and found those to be productive worthwhile, efficient, and impactful. Sad.
During today’s general session at the 2025 Winter Policy Summit, NARUC Executive Director Tony Clark acknowledged the difficult decision to wind down the International Programs department due to a lack of federal funding support, stating that it “is a success and a credit to this association and the American people.” We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to our staff and everyone who has participated in our international programs over the last 26 years for your dedication to fostering international stability in the energy sector, thereby supporting America’s national interests. By promoting predictable legal and regulatory structures, NARUC’s International Programs encouraged enabling environments that helped make American business investment more feasible around the globe. #thankyou #NARUCWINTER25
