If you click on the link you will see a report called Expense Distribution. I know this report more than you can imagine. It's based on paid claims. It shows that for this plan half the members were essentially self-insured as individuals. If I was the CEO of this company, you can bet I would make sure the rates my employees were paying for their own care were reasonable. If not, I'd be personally liable. #deerhold #ContractRateExplorer #MRFInsights

Appreciate thoughts on fiduciary liability concerning the use of HDHP options attracting lower-paid employees due to discounted monthly premium contributions. The industry invented logic for high deductible options due to increased patient consumerism was always fraudulent. Even today under CAA mandates, members don’t have access to quality and pricing. Simply increasing deductibles funnels members into foregoing physician prescribed medical & Rx therapy—thus becoming sicker due to plan design? Look at the percentage of members spending plan assets within this member expense distribution analysis? Exactly Jeff. The class-action bar is starting on the blatant PBM spread-pricing scourge impacting member ability to afford prescription therapy. Shortly they will comprehend the damage to health from employer plans following the conflicted recommendations from consultants, brokers and insurance companies. Adopting plan provisions, without knowledge/evidence of forcing members to forego ongoing & preventative care, spells fiduciary deriliction. Juries will completely understand! Employers need a quick review of their existing fiduciary liability insurance!

10moAs always, Rx is easier to understand than medical. However, the boom will get lowered on medical and it won't be pretty.
