I'll be attending the AIRR Community Meeting VII (Adaptive Immune Receptor Repertoire) - Let me know if you're planning to attend so that we can chat. Infinity Bio, Inc. CSO, Dr. Ben Larman, will be giving a talk on "Antibody reactome profiling via self-assembling libraries of DNA barcoded antigens". This is an incredible tool for the detailed characterization of #serum #antibodies at cohort scale, allowing for novel #biomarker, therapeutic targets and #MoA discoveries. #immunology #airrc7

The National Cancer Strategy states that 90% of patients who receive radiotherapy should commence it within 15 days of being ready to treat. Last year only 6/10 patients began their radiotherapy treatment on time, compared to 8/10 people in 2018. Time and time again we have called on government to increase capacity and infrastructure to deliver the radiation therapy and care Irish patients deserve. More and more people are being diagnosed with cancer every year in Ireland. We need commitment from government to invest in long term solutions to meet future demand, including increasing radiation therapy university places. Review of radiation therapy staffing recommends 'urgent action' on vacancies (irishexaminer.com)

Cervical cancer continues to pose a significant challenge in South Africa’s healthcare system, with thousands of women affected each year. Despite the availability of screening programs, access and follow-up care remain barriers to effective prevention and treatment. The CCPAC (Cervical Cancer Prevention and Control Project) is working diligently to strengthen the cervical cancer care cascade, ensuring that women receive comprehensive care from screening to treatment. By improving access to early detection, enhancing patient tracking, and empowering healthcare providers with the tools and resources they need, CCPAC is making a real difference in reducing the burden of cervical cancer in South Africa. Together, we can build a future where no woman dies from a preventable disease like cervical cancer. https://lnkd.in/g9VJYa3t
