Great article defining an MVP in detail from Ben Yoskovitz. Also gives a solid argument against the "L" of my SLC (https://lnkd.in/g9yRi9-B).

Your competitors aren't smarter than you. They're just testing faster. After producing hundreds of video ads, I noticed something: The winners aren't winning on creativity alone. They're winning on iteration speed. While most brands run 2-3 variations monthly: • Top performers test 15-20 • They learn 5x faster • They find winners 5x quicker • They scale 5x sooner The game isn't just about better ads. It's about faster learning cycles. Speed beats perfection every time.

"We are starting to define our target audiences, not as the people who could potentially buy our product, but those people who are prepared to engage with us in at high speed in low cost media." What does this mean for the long form content? Is this why nothing else matters except ranking as a brand in GPT? https://lnkd.in/dHhQxMuM #marketing #advertising #b2bmarketing

I coach like a co-founder who doesn't take half your equity
9moI agree that MVPs are still viable - necessary, even. The article focuses on the definition of an MVP, the history or the mangling of the term, and the many variations. It didn’t address why. I think this happened for a couple reasons: 1. People want to put their personal stamp on things so we get all these funny named variations. 2. There’s not a clear understanding of the difference between “spikes” and MVPs 3. People often fail to properly understand the dance between “minimum” and “viable” Ok, maybe a 4th… it’s impossible to separate the idea of MVP from Steve Blank’s customer discovery framework. So few people who use the term MVP even know who Steve Blank is - let alone have read his work. I think Ben is onto something…
