I recently celebrated my 36th work anniversary with Furst Group (rocking that 90’s hair)! As I look back on my career so far, I’m struck by how much I’ve grown—professionally and personally. Every step of the journey has taught me something valuable. Here are a few lessons that have shaped who I am today. 1️⃣ Growth starts outside your comfort zone. The moments I once feared the most in the beginning—speaking up in a meeting or speaking at a conference—and later—acquiring an existing company and starting a new one—were the ones that taught me the most. You grow when you dare to try. 2️⃣ Failure is part of the process. I used to fear making mistakes, but now I see them as stepping stones. Each failure brought lessons that no success could have taught me. 3️⃣ Never stop learning. The world—and the workplace—evolves constantly. Staying curious and continuously building my skill sets have kept me adaptable and open to new opportunities. 4️⃣ Celebrate progress, not perfection. It’s easy to get caught up in chasing the next milestone. But I’ve learned to pause, reflect, and appreciate how far I’ve come—even if there’s more to achieve. 🎉 Celebrating 1 Year! 🎉 Today marks one year since I started my journey as an Associate Account Manager at Eden Health—a role I was so excited to land after more than 8 months of searching for a new opportunity. Fast forward to today, I’m humbled and grateful to be a Client Success Executive at Centivo through acquisition (yes, I’m counting it as one year—let me have this win! 😄). For many, a work anniversary might not feel like a big deal. But for me, this milestone is significant. It’s the first time I’ve celebrated a 1-year work anniversary since I made the leap from clinical medicine to my corporate career four years ago. Reaching this point is a testament to hard work, perseverance, and, honestly, trusting myself through moments of uncertainty. That journey hasn’t been without challenges. There were times I questioned my career change, wondered if I was on the right path, or considered starting over yet again. If you’re in a similar place—out of work, feeling exhausted, depleted, doubtful, or unsure of your next step—know this: trusting yourself and trusting the timing of your journey is one of the most powerful things you can do. The universe has a way of aligning us with where we’re meant to be when the time is right. That belief is what kept me going. 🎉 Today marks my 2 year work anniversary with Smile Brands Inc. It's been an incredible journey, and I'm grateful for the growth opportunities I’ve had with such a supportive team and strong leadership. On a personal note, I've not only been focusing on my professional growth but also personal growth. I've recently taken up indoor top rope climbing, which has been a fantastic new challenge. Climbing shares many similarities with recruiting. In climbing, trust and strong partnerships are essential to achieving your goal. It's a team sport, just like recruiting, where everyone's contribution is crucial. You will inevitably encounter obstacles and need to overcome objections to reach the final objective. At times, you may experience a setback just as the goal seems within reach, but with support, you can get back up and try again. The relationship between a sourcer and a recruiter is like that of a belayer and a climber. With clear communication, you ensure each other's success. The excitement of reaching the top, much like filling a role, is an incredibly rewarding experience. Thank you to everyone who has been part of this journey. It’s my new life anniversary! 2 years ago today, I was suddenly fired. Today, I've never felt more fulfilled! Looking back, it was the toughest moment of my career. (and I'm incredibly grateful for it.) We all know them. Those moments where everything seems to be going wrong, and you feel utterly lost… At the time, I had little faith in myself. The only thing I ever knew was being employed. So, if you had told me I was about to launch my own company, I would have called you crazy! But then, I had a conversation with myself: "Thibaut, you've had a successful career. You can surely create something out of this." That was the turning point. The moment I started facing each challenge head-on until I saw the light again. And eventually, it happened! A few months later, my first-ever freelance activity, (ThibautCX) was running smoothly. Bringing me enough security and confidence to launch the project of my life: Smart Role Today, Smart Role is: 🙌🏼 Used every day by our clients. 🙌🏼 We hired some awesome talent. 🙌🏼 We’re ready to change the CS industry! And most importantly, I’ve never felt more grateful in my life. Celebrating my 3rd year Anniversary of losing a career after 20 years of continuous employment. 1st August will always be a Monumental Day in my Life. The following 1 year, thought me so many lessons about what comfort zones meant. How for 20 years I lived my life as a salary earner without even once thinking I would lose my job. (1) How I had failed to build transferable skills and (2) develop a greater sense of commercial mindset. How I (3) failed to embrace intrapreneurship behaviors while working for large organization. These would be the 3 Lessons I would teach my younger self, If I could reverse time. The struggle of unemployment is real, not only in financial matters but it goes deep down to Question your self worth and eventually can make or break a man. I was jobless for 1.5 years. But through PAIN, you either Break or you become a BELIVER … in yourself. Through failure, we push and scale heights we never thought possible. But we got to stick to that process, feel the pain, learn to deal with it and move on. No matter how hard it seems to be, believe me, You Got This. Just hang in there. Happy August my friends. Lets keep moving forward!

Today officially marks my 1-year anniversary at Truity Partners! It has been a fun and challenging ride over the past 12 months, but looking forward to an even more successful 2025. A few key takeaways from this year... 🤝 Who you work with truly matters. If you don't like your work environment and company culture, nothing else will align. 👔 Executive Search is a longer/slower process than direct hire and temp recruiting - relationships you make today will come full-circle in 6-12 months. 🫵 Your personal brand is important - it's the first impression, the trust builder, and the reason people want to interact with you. 📅 You need to own your calendar and prioritize time for you first both professionally and personally. 💪 Celebrate small wins as they happen because they provide fuel necessary to achieve the large wins. ✋ Lean on your peers and mentors because sometimes an outside perspective is all you need to get back on track. 🎉 Have fun, because if that's not happening, what's the point? Bring on the new year, new challenges, and new heights!

It took me over two decades to find success and it’s nothing like what I imagined it to be. Last week I celebrated my two year work anniversary and as I reflected on the wins, mistakes, and learning moments, I pondered on the definition of success … which is a destination many of us think about. My conclusion came to this. Success is simply broken down into three parts: 1 — Finding your purpose. 2 — Developing your purpose. 3 — Serving others with your purpose. Success is not about securing a job promotion, attaining power, getting a defined salary, achieving awards, or even getting status. It’s ultimately using your skills, passion, and the opportunities as they present themselves to empower others to find their own success.

I got laid off on my 5th work anniversary. Expected? Hell no! Transformative? Definitely. Here are 5 lessons I learned: 1. Center your self-concept beyond your title. -> Your title isn't your identity, know your true worth. -> Hard pill to swallow, but, do not take it personally. 2. When a door closes, windows of possibility open. -> Get face-to-face with the core of who you are. -> Choose your most empowered version. 3. Humanity is wired for connection, not competition. -> Survival is not a solo battle, welcome support. -> Rise above shame and fear, open up and connect. 4. Crisis does not break you — it breaks you open. -> Be grateful for the cracks; let the light get in. -> Your capacity for expansion is limitless. 5. The universe makes space for what’s meant to be. -> Change doesn’t define you — it reveals you. -> Find courage in the face of fear. This layoff is not an end. It's the beginning of how I shall be remembered. Not for what I lost, but for how I persevered, How I built my legacy, And how I helped others along the way.

Just that I started writing this post, I got the auto notification for my 2-year work anniversary. 7 years into Brand Management and then exploring new profiles in the new work city…that’s what my decision was when I left my dream job at #Roche Now when I look back these 2 years what I have learned is I was right crafting this journey for myself..(of course, this post is not to add to never ending learning stories/lessons, but to self-analyse and learn from you with the experience you all have). The major reasons I chose Strategy and then Operations (Many who know me were surprised with my decision of choosing Operations though) – 1.      As a marketer (unless you work for start-ups) you have a very defined space to work in – The world of Marketing, Brand building, B2C, B2B etc. etc. 2.       No matter how much you contribute to your sales team win their targets, the stage will always be taken by them at the annual meets (You are lucky if they call out your name for expressing gratitude :) 3.      When I observed, not just the stage, but theirs is the only opinion that dominates leadership meetings and everyone in the support would work only on what they needed/sometimes demanded (cz. at the end no matter which company you work for, it’s all about TOP line and BOTTOM line) that struck me hard and I decided to explore! Explore so that – 1.      I expand my Horizon to learn and implement- in all the aspects of the business 2.      Being marketer at heart, put in the same passion and discipline to streamline the Operations and work for organizational strategies 3.      And lastly as I grow and navigate this path, get myself heard and valued (no matter if I handle sales for the company or just be into strategy or operational excellence).
