AWS charges you for any unauthorised requests made to your buckets, meaning anyone trying to access your S3 bucket will receive access denied but you will be the one paying for it! 💡How can this be avoided? Attention Terraform users! For those of you who think that the only difference between Terraform and OpenTofu is just a license change that does not mean much to you, I kindly suggest you take a closer look. Terraform just released Stacks which can be used only for paid HCP Terraform (AKA Terraform Cloud/Enterprise) customers. On the other hand, these kinds of concepts are being implemented in the FREE OpenTofu framework ("for each" providers in OpenTofu 1.9). Terraform features are going to be coupled more and more with commercial products, Oracle style, shifting away not just from OSS license, but also from OSS fundamentals.
