Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA), a DOD organization that makes pivotal investments in breakthrough technologies for national security, has signed a new binding agreement with U.S. Cyber Command to establish joint governance of a program called "Constellation." According to DARPA, the Constellation Program offers businesses and academics at the forefront of developing cutting-edge cyber-related technologies a unique opportunity to contribute to national security. Reflecting on an inspiring day at the NATO Youth Summit in Stockholm! We dived into pressing issues such as disinformation, cyber, artificial intelligence, and the emerging technologies that are shaping our world, and how innovation and responsibility converge when protecting our democracies. Another recurring theme was the essential role of public and private partnerships in maintaining NATO's competitive edge. These collaborations are crucial for innovating and implementing the robust security measures needed in today's rapidly evolving technological and geopolitical landscape. For my part, valuable transatlantic connections were made and I deepened my understanding of the challenges that our allies face. CTC's David Hockenberry is back home after a wonderful conference in Honolulu -- AFCEA International's and AFCEA Hawaii's TechNet Indo-Pacific. TechNet Indo-Pacific is the largest event of its kind in the Indo-Pacific Rim. The conference focuses on the regional issues military leaders have identified, including full spectrum cyber operations, as adversaries leverage cyberspace to conduct operations below the threshold of conflict. Concurrent Technologies Corporation has been on the leading-edge of developing innovative edge node architecture solutions and configurations for the DoD and the Intelligence Community since 2017. Edge nodes are portable extensions of cloud or on-premise services and infrastructure that can operate in either connected or disconnected environments.
