Failure, its something every start-up founder is scared of, but only when you admit it's gone to Poops can you regroup and make a (better) plan, in Aotearoa. I learnt a heck of a lot though. - show value FAST - people ARE prepared to pay .. - you need WAY more runway than you think - build networks BEFORE LANDING - taking investment is not bad as long as everyone has the same values - I like people allot more than I thought. #startuplife #failure #lessonslearnt
I love failing! It's where my biggest growth moments have happened as a leader and founder and it highlights what I need to do differently next time. Without it, it's very hard for me to find my growth spots
Its only a failure if you don't get back up and go again.... failure is the pathway to greater success, without failure one doesn't learn much...
Better to have the regret of having tried than that of not trying. I think the latter is real failure, everything else is just learning on the way to success. 🚀
I like the Edison quote, “I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work.” When you don’t get where you wanted to go, that’s a chance to change your mind about the destination and/or the path… so, really, it’s just the beginning of a new leg of the journey toward success!
Wonderful share. It’s all just one big adventure and some paths lead to what feel like dead-ends at the time or not where you thought you were heading and others surprise you in a good way.
Failure in my book Hiria (Celia) Te Rangi is “a set up for us to step up to success”😎
No failure, just learning, trying, pushing and sometimes being rewarded for it 😊
It's great to see such honest reflections on the challenges of start-up life. The lessons you've shared are invaluable for anyone on this journey. What strategies do you think work best for showing value early on?
Such a great discussion to be having!

7moI try to reframe failure as lesson learned. It is only failure if you don’t take something away from it.
