Thank you to TechTarget News for the interesting interview questions ... How is AI changing the health and wellness industry? Cook: I was on a panel at a University of California, San Francisco conference a month or two ago. One of the themes from that conference was that there's just not enough doctors to provide the needed care. There's a lot of other problems in the healthcare system. But even just from a demand and supply perspective, even if you could get everyone a doctor, there's just not enough of them. The way population dynamics are working, you're going to have a lot more people retiring, which means a lot of doctors will be retiring. The actual working workforce will be shrinking. But the number of people they need to support will be increasing, because retirees are living longer. Therefore, as bad as the doctor shortage might be right now, it will only get worse over the next 20 years. The way out of that problem is probably not manufacturing more doctors. It takes a great amount of time to do that. AI could well be one of the more efficient care models and is almost certainly part of the solution.

Mountains to climb in the age of AI adoption? I'm learning everyday ( thanks to tonnes of free online courses) and it's fascinating how the world is progressing both in tech and the study of the human psyche.❤️ AI is not a magic pill that suddenly fixes all your company issues, no matter how much you want it to. It merely simplifies the Lego structure that you have established. The age old GIGO concept still applies. Companies still needs to fix their own sh*t before technology can help you move faster. The next hurdle in adoption is management of change in your human capital. Unless your company is a one man show. Sharing this read. #AI #humancapital #management

Is this the future we’re aiming for?😶 This advertisement caught my attention, not because of its creativity, but because of how problematic its messaging is. “Artisans won’t complain about work-life balance.” “The era of AI employees is here.” Let’s take a moment to unpack this!📦 This ad blatantly suggests that AI is a “better employee” because it won’t complain, won’t demand fair treatment, and won’t seek a balance between work and life. It perpetuates a toxic narrative that dehumanizes the workforce and equates human rights, emotions, and well-being with inefficiency. Work-life balance isn’t a luxury—it’s a necessity for mental health, creativity, and long-term productivity. Human employees are not just “resources”; they’re the backbone of any organization. Replacing empathy and human connections with AI efficiency might seem tempting, but at what cost? Rather than using AI against humans, why not use AI to empower employees and create more opportunities for innovation and fulfillment? Technology should work for people, not leave them obsolete. What are your thoughts on this advertisement?🤔 #AI #Marketing
