Talent's New Frontier 🌐 The talent war is evolving. With remote work dismantling geographic barriers, companies now have access to a global talent pool. The question isn't simply "who is the best" but "where is the best". As we embrace this broader reach, the debate between hybrid and remote setups intensifies, raising poignant questions about the value of face-to-face interaction in a world growing increasingly virtual. This war on global talent has some questioning if local 'homegrown' talent is being overlooked. Do you have a view❓ #peopleandculture #talentacquisition #talent

Harriet Lavender from a personal perspective, I’m delighted that hybrid working has been embraced more over the past 3 years (perhaps the only good thing to come out of COVID?). We all have different working preferences and styles. For example, a neurodivergent professional may not perform at their best when in a hectic and loud open plan office. However, commercially, a hybrid or remote approach just doesn’t work in some industries and business functions. I think it’s for leaders to really think about and understand their own work force so that they can adopt a best practice for their culture and business. And for the record, that means bespoking where it needs to be and not implementing a ‘one size fits all’ policy.

I think it depends on the industry, job requirement and specialisation of the position.
