Can you repeat that, please? 📱 📞 Even today communication fails during phone calls because of bad audio. The reasons can be many: wind blowing into the microphone, noise in the background, and bad reception - to name a few. With AI audio enhancement we can combat these challenges by removing noise, and even regenerating lost audio. Today HANCE can do: - Realtime noise removal - Realtime reverb removal - Realtime stem separation ... and we're just getting started.

Upon request, we have provided audio examples for our latest ultra-lightweight model. With a model size of only 253 KB, this noise reduction model for speech can be distributed on a double density 5¼ inch floppy disk from the 8088 era. The latency is only 32 milliseconds. Here's the link to the audio demo: https://hance.ai/minimodel

ML-based noise cancellation typically involves training models on large datasets containing both clean and noisy audio. These models learn to identify and suppress noise while preserving the original sound. Compared to traditional noise reduction techniques, machine learning offers adaptive solutions that improve over time and work in a variety of noisy environments. If you want a more detailed explanation, you can either ask about the technology or view the video to get insights into how ML-driven noise cancellation is applied to improve audio experiences. https://lnkd.in/dUnRwP5a #NoiseCancellation #MachineLearning #MLAudio #AudioTechnology #SuperiorAudio #SoundQuality #AIForAudio #AIInnovation #ClearAudio #TechForGood #SmartAudio #AudioEngineering #AIInAudio

We use retronyms every day without giving it much thought... In language economy, they represent changing times... ⏳ Retronyms efficiently reuse existing words, minimizing the need for entirely new vocabulary, helps creates clarity and precision in communication. Retronyms are words or phrases created to distinguish original concepts from newer versions. When new ideas and technologies emerge, our language adapts. 🔴 Retronyms signal a significant shift in culture, tech, or society. Original concept -> Innovation -> Retronym (to distinguish original concept) Phone -> mobile phone -> Landline phone (Retronym) Other common examples of retronyms include: Acoustic guitar (to distinguish from electric guitar). Originally it was just guitar. Brick and mortar store (vs now online store). Postal mail (vs e-mail). Analog watch (vs digital watch) Wired internet (vs Wi-Fi) Traditional TV (vs Smart TV) … and many more #innovation #technology

We've been talking a lot about earables or hearables over the past 4 years. This is an emerging category where all the action happens in and around the ear. What's interesting about this part of the body is that it can passively and continuously measure our moods/ biometrics, it can change our moods via vagus nerve stimulation and it is a good place for brain control interfacing. (Our thoughts, via the ear, can control devices.) All these use cases and applications exist today although they have not yet merged into one integrated solution and that's when it gets...interesting. [Apple has a number of patents in these areas. Airpods are soon going to do a lot more. I'm interested to see Apple's Gen. AI on the Edge news, and if and how Airpods will be used.] What is critical to us and our clients is the future of earables and how it enables the coming Algorithm to Algorithm economy (A2A). We have seen glimpses of what this could look like from science fiction. In Ender's Game, to name one of a few classics, AIs are interfaced through the ear. This company https://iyo.audio/ is an interesting signal. They are betting that voice control of personal AI agents via the ear is going to be a dominant future interface paradigm. We know that Humane.ai and others struggled with v1 but these are vital signals of the Algorithm to Algorithm economy. Interfaces and companies like IYO are the building blocks of the future. (Finally, if you want to dive in more to the future of autonomous agents...this is a good place to start. https://lnkd.in/g8GCmrVN)
