This project focuses on supporting women entrepreneurs in green and digital technology, tackling gender gaps, and encouraging innovation. GRANDIS aims to lead the way in green and digital progress with women entrepreneurs, create gender-inclusive policies, and offer strong support to regional and national authorities. 🌟 Celebrating International Day of Rural Women with Big News! 🌟 I’m beyond thrilled to share that I’ve been accepted into the Victorian Rural Women's Network Leadership and Mentoring Program thanks to a grant from Agriculture Victoria! As someone deeply passionate about driving innovation in regional Victoria, this opportunity means the world to me. I’m eager to learn from, and alongside, so many inspiring women who are transforming our rural landscapes. The Program aims to support women to build the skills, confidence and networks we need to participate in leadership and decision making that contributes to gender equality, greater economic participation and empowerment in both the agriculture sector and more broadly in the communities we live. 🤠 The challenge I will be working on is…. We need more women in AgTech!  Women in agriculture face significant challenges, including a substantial investment gap for female-led startups and limited access to critical resources. Many women juggle multiple responsibilities, which can undermine their confidence in navigating a male-dominated field, particularly in technology. Gendered stereotypes and underrepresentation in leadership roles further compound these challenges. Despite this, women have the power to bring unique, game-changing solutions to agriculture’s most pressing problems. In fact, startups led by women have been shown to generate 10% more revenue per dollar invested and achieve 35% higher returns than their male counterparts. Yet, we still see women struggling to secure the same opportunities. That’s why I’m advocating for more women to bring their unique ideas to life. My vision is to connect more regional women to Victoria’s startup ecosystem, offering resources on everything from securing funding to embracing technology, to ensure they’re empowered to lead and innovate. Together, we can drive diversity, spark innovation, and help women bring their incredible ideas to life—ultimately creating a stronger, more resilient agricultural sector. 💬 I’d love to hear from other women in agriculture or AgTech—what’s been your biggest challenge or success in this space?
