10.000 days later, I’m back. At our offices in Düsseldorf. The place where I first walked into Siemens to start my apprenticeship. With zero clue what to expect. Growing up in a little town nearby, I knew nothing about the chances this place would offer. The incredible people I would meet and the cultures I would experience. How this would shape my life. And I certainly didn’t imagine I would be coming back to this training center, where hundreds of apprentices are starting their own journeys. Watching our next generation, emotions of my own first days in 1997 came rushing back. My excitement, but also my uncertainty if I would find my place here. So, to everyone just starting out here: I feel you. You got this. Keep going. Stay curious. It’s so damn worth it. Opportunities have a way of unfolding when you least expect them. And Siemens offers all the chances to be yourself and thrive, and it will take you to places you never imagined. Here, where you truly belong. How had been your first days at Siemens? #BelongingTransforms
I still remember day one nearly 13 years ago – how warmly Andrea welcomed me! Lucky us, we’re still working together today.😌 I often ask colleagues what makes Siemens special to them. Most say: the people and the endless career opportunities. Thanks for sharing your insights and experiences – a big inspiration, especially for early career talents! 🙏
Yes, you are lucky to be at Siemens! But Siemens is even luckier because you are there! 😊
Started my dual study program with Siemens in 2011 and I can still remember my first days at SPE in Obersendling as well as the first “real” apprenticeship with Melneck Walther who introduced me to Julio Crespo, CPA which led me to working on Orlando, FL! I also had good times working with Isabel Buchholz , Eva Becker , Ulrike Bittcher and Stefan Kandlbinder . Many great memories to be thankful for! 🙏🏼
I started one year later as well in Düsseldorf. August 1998 as a dual student. Perhaps we have celebrated together during the karnival party in the canteen, but couldn‘t remember… 😅🥳
6761 days days for me so far, and hopefully many more to come! I remember my first day, wondering if I would fit in or not. But the best thing about Siemens is you don't need to 'fit in', you just need to be yourself! 😍
Wow, Gerhard, what a coincidence! 😉 Exactly the same number of days for me, and almost the same place. No idea what to expect either back then! It's been quite some time, but sometimes it feels just like yesterday.
What a journey so inspiring. Many more to come. 💐💐

3d2nd of October 1989 - Nonnendammallee Siemens-Stadt - Berlin - starting point of an exciting and overwhelming two years journey as vocational trainee. In particular - during those very turbulent and emotional times whilst the fall of the wall, historically, politically and globally significant for the Company, Berlin, Germany. This time was extraordinary instructive and educative - and had certainly a formative influence on my professional career and personal live.
