Large companies are starting to leverage AI quicker than you think… Last night, we hosted a dinner (at an incredible steakhouse) with tax, accounting, and AI leaders from large scale companies. And to be honest, I was surprised—maybe naively so—by how quickly they’re rolling out AI across their organizations. I’m not just talking about individuals using ChatGPT to speed up their personal workflows (although this is certainly happening as well). I mean company-wide adoption of tools like Glean and Gemini, plus deep dives into more specialized AI solutions for specific functions—like Neo.Tax for R&D tax credits and software capitalization. The biggest blocker to further adoption? AI that actually works. That got me thinking about what means for an AI tool to “work”. There’s a big difference between automating a simple, one-person, one-hour task versus tackling complex, multi-stakeholder workflows that pull data from various sources and need to be executed with precision. There seems to be a gap in AI solutions that can effectively bridge qualitative reasoning with complex quantitative computations—using insights from language and context to drive accurate, large-scale calculations. What AI tools are actually delivering on their promise? Would love to hear your take.
It’s so cool to see companies moving so fast with AI.
Looks awesome!
