All the high performers I've met share these 9 traits 👇 Businesses often over-emphasize things like: - Having a high IQ - Direct experience - Certain qualifications When there are more important intangibles... that are also much more challenging to teach. Of course, qualifications and experience help. But I'll choose these traits first any day of the week. #HumanResources #Leadership #Hiring ________________________________ 👋 Hey, my name is J.Y, and I develop Slack apps at BuddiesHR to help badass companies (like yours) create the culture they’ve always dreamed of! 💬 I write about entrepreneurship, employee engagement, and, of course, how to create an amazing culture. 👉 Follow me for more content like this!

One of the best lessons I’ve learned over the years: delivering tough feedback is an art. Early on, I made the mistake of sending sensitive feedback via email—big mistake. The lack of tone and empathy caused unnecessary friction. Now, I make it a point to handle these situations with a call or video chat. Tone matters. Empathy matters. We’re building the future—let’s communicate like humans. 📞💻 #DirectCommunication #FeedbackThatMatters #Leadership #EmpathyInBusiness #FutureOfWork #WorkCulture #CommunicationSkills #HR #Innovation #TechLeadership #StartupLife #RemoteWork

Feedback is a walk in the park… said no one ever. 😅 We all talk about how to give feedback, I want to talk about: how do we receive feedback? Here are some tips for mastering the art of receiving feedback: > Ask for it! It shows you’re serious about growing. Pro tip: a post-meeting poll like, “What went well? What could’ve been better?” goes a long way. > Be Curious. If something’s unclear, ask! Example: “Thank you for sharing that feedback, can you help me understand what you mean or give me an example?” > Follow up. It’s a two-way street. Try, “I hear you. Can I have time to reflect and get back to you?” > Listen. Resist the urge to interrupt! > Stay Open-Minded. It’s growth, it's not personal! Have you left a feedback session recently wishing you’d engaged more? Time to get curious and start owning the process! #feedbackmatters #growthmindset #HR
