The power of "Thank You". You know how to Inspire your team to go ahead no matter what? 💫 When we're busy with our daily tasks, it's easy to forget to say "thank you." To our coworkers, bosses, for their hard work, their dedication. For always being there to lend a hand or cheer us up. "Thank you" is not just a polite formality. It's a way to show that company appreciate teams contributions 🤝 Even when things don't go as planned, when results don't meet our expectations, it's important to remember what keeps team moving forward. Knowing their efforts are valued, they'll be ready ready for anything. In our company, we've started a tradition of an annual "Say Thank You" event. It's a wonderful opportunity for employees to express their appreciation to one another. In the first year, 42 people joined, and it grew to 86 the next year. Feeling valued is important to everyone — Cybersecurity specialist, Sales manager, PR or HR. If you want a friendly and supportive workplace, start by saying "thank you." It's the first step. 🌟 Exciting News! 🌟 I'm thrilled to share that I've earned a new certification: Data Experience Accelerator from iO Sphere, accredited by BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT! The past 10 weeks at iO-Sphere have been intensive, but I’m proud to have stayed focused and committed throughout. The program provided deep insights into Analytics and Data Engineering, and I'd love to share a few key takeaways that have already transformed my approach: 𝗧𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁: Learning to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗰𝘁: Highlighting the value and impact of my work to key stakeholders 𝗔𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 & 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴: Using wireframing and alignment discussions to set projects up for success 𝗗𝗼𝗰𝘂𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗠𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀: Understanding the huge benefits of thorough documentation 𝗔𝘀𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗛𝗲𝗹𝗽: Embracing collaboration and not hesitating to seek support when needed. "Hector fights for the benefits of the people while Achilles fights for his benefits" (Troy, 2004) The above statement in the movie Troy dated 2004 was an introductory video shared during an interactive session held by our intelligent, energetic, amiable, lovable, analytic and beautiful Oremeyi Adeola Akah. The video was used to buttress the Interswitch Group's purpose which is to "Inspire Africa to greatness through innovation, value creation and excellence" Like a car being driven by an expert driver, she took us through the journey of Interswitch Group's inception in 2002, spanning over 22 years of existence, becoming a major stakeholder in the fintech industry, and cutting across other industries. We were made to understand that it will take Africans to solve Africa's problems and that is why Interswitch Group is committed to the development of Africa through innovation, value creation and excellence and ensuring seamless payments The following points were my takeaways from the session: 1. Do not despise your little beginning. 2. Consistency is key. 3. People will pay when you offer value. 4. Always be transparent and honest in your dealings. 5. Invest in people.
