What does transparency in grant-giving look like? 🔎 Transparency should be an integral part of the grant-making process, not an afterthought. It's crucial that both decision-makers and those affected by these decisions have a clear understanding of the process. How does Civic Say enhance transparency in your grant-making process? - By demonstrating how individual votes and inputs contribute to the final decision - By ensuring every voice is heard - By maintaining an open, reviewable process from start to finish We've built Civic Say to make all that easier - the example below represents an outcome for a grant application. Want to learn more about we can help improve the transparency of your grant-making process? In this current social and political reality, our work at LiberatED SEL is ever more important. Our education department is under attack, which has been instilling fear in educators nationally. Our Fellowship for educators provides a buffer to the nastiness many educators are experiencing—stress, burnout, a threat to their livelihoods, policing what they can and can’t teach, surveillance, and more. We center radical love, care, joy, and belonging in our fellowship to support the wellbeing and mental health of educators so that they can do the same for students. Help us to continue to be a soft landing for educators by donating today: https://lnkd.in/ez8TDNEb
A collective. A movement. A liberatory approach to social and emotional learning (SEL), racial justice, and healing. Brainchild of Dr. Dena Simmons.
Help us continue being a cornerstone for educators to solidify a beloved community working towards justice, healing, and belonging. Support LiberatED today with a tax-deductible donation via https://lnkd.in/e89jJ9eD or at liberatedsel.com. Access to justice is essential for individuals and society at large. Law influences many aspects of social life and recent research shows that 2 in 3 people have faced a legal issue in the past four years. The most common issues? Employment, finance, welfare and benefits (28%), wills, trusts, probate (26%), consumer problems (26%), and property-related matters (25%). These often arise during major life events. Despite this, many do not seek legal help due to a lack of awareness of their legal rights, difficulty navigating the legal system, financial constraints, uncertainty about where to find legal advice, physical inaccessibility, or a lack of confidence that they will receive help from someone who understands their background and experiences. Research highlights the negative impact unresolved legal issues can have on our physical and mental health. In the last quarter, the ARU Law Clinic provided free legal advice to over 200 clients on family, employment, immigration, personal injury, and medical negligence issues. In times of economic, political, social and technological change, access to legal help is more important than ever. Please support the The Access to Justice Foundation to help fund free legal advice in communities that need it most. There is still time to register. You can do so as an individual or as a company. If you're interested in supporting victims of the Los Angeles fires, consider donating to GiveDirectly. Research indicates that direct giving is highly effective as recipients can best determine how to address their needs. GiveDirectly specializes in offering cash assistance to low-income individuals and families. Having supported GiveDirectly's global initiatives as a monthly donor for years, I recently contributed towards aid for the LA fires. Your engagement (commenting or "liking" this post) can amplify its reach and potentially encourage more donations. (Note: Direct donation link available in comments for optimized visibility on LinkedIn)

Which Act should you choose to incorporate your nonprofit? You’ll want to choose the one which best fits the organization's activities and goals. In the past few months, we have helped several new nonprofits decide which is the best legislation to incorporate under. If you would like some ideas about which legal structure is best, a free 1-hour IntegralOrg legal clinic is a good option. Yvonne Chenier, K.C., a lawyer with more than 40 years of experience with nonprofit and charity law, will review your specific situation and discuss your options with you. Connect at 403-910-7279 or find out more about this type of one-on-one support at https://lnkd.in/gz2kMmD9 #nonprofit #charity #nonprofitorganization #nonprofitmanagement
