EXCLUSIVE: "F is For Diversity…" - Nina Wöss, Fund F by Female Founders in 'The Fintech Magazine' Most VC investors aren’t putting their money where their mouths are when it comes to backing diversity. For the co-founders of Fund F, it’s core to who they are. "At Fund F, we consider how diverse a company is at every layer of the business, beyond the founding team. This includes their board, employees, and investors on their CAP table. That’s how Fund F will achieve our long-term impact over the next 10 to 20 years. Like any investor, we hope to see exits from successful companies, but we want to create a legacy of future unicorns where not only the founders, but their employees, create personal wealth on exit that can be reinvested into teams that reflect them, and companies that can have a positive impact in turn." https://lnkd.in/eWgBjfSc #fintech #finance #banking #paytech #payments #fintechnews #paymentsnews

This time last year, Tori Dunlap shared a quote that stuck with me: “You can’t have equality for any marginalized group until there’s financial equality.” It hit me deeply, and it perfectly sums up my journey in the fintech space. Here’s the honest truth: I wouldn’t be where I am today without fintech. ✨ During the pandemic in 2021, I followed Tori's expert advice and opened a high-yield savings account through SoFi. This small step became the foundation for something bigger: my emergency fund. ✨ By December 2023, that saved money became the launchpad for my media company, Fintech Is Femme, which allowed me to pursue my entrepreneurial (and author) dreams full-time. ✨ This is the power of fintech fueling female entrepreneurship. I’ve lived it—and I am incredibly passionate about it. As women in fintech, we’re not just creating products but creating opportunities. We have the unique privilege and responsibility to enable other women to access the financial services they deserve. Because money, indeed, means options. As Tori shared, When you have money, you don’t have to stay in situations that don’t honor you, respect you, or make you feel safe. You have the freedom to choose. That’s the feeling we want every woman on this planet to feel. Here’s what we need to do, per Tori's incredible advice: 1. Be proud of the businesses we’re building. 2. Unabashedly pursue wealth and success. 3. Understand that money is morally neutral—it’s what you do with it that matters. 4. Celebrate our achievements and show up unapologetically. 5. Embrace the idea that “done is better than perfect.” 6. Start, adapt, and keep moving forward—perfection is an illusion. 7. Assert our needs and stop waiting for permission. 2025 is our year to make noise. To be unapologetic. To claim our space in fintech and beyond. 💪🏽💡 The full Humans of Fintech podcast episode with Tori is linked in the comments. #FintechIsFemme #WomenInFintech #FemaleEntrepreneurs
