🚨 Our latest broadband and mobile availability figures are out - revealing a record-breaking year for full-fibre broadband rollout. For the first time, more than 20 million UK homes (69%) can now access full-fibre internet. Today's figures are a sharp rise from 2023, when 57% of UK homes could get full fibre. This follows telecoms operators investing an estimated £9.9bn in network infrastructure in 2023. Natalie Black CBE, Ofcom’s Network and Communications Group Director, said: “Whether you’re running a business, streaming your favourite programmes, or doing Christmas shopping online, it’s more likely than ever that you’ll be able to benefit from a fast and reliable broadband connection." Other findings from our Connected Nations report include: 📱 5G coverage has increased, but the majority of mobile data traffic remains on 4G. 🛰️ Take-up of satellite broadband has more than doubled in the last year.
