So what did you do last Friday? I decided to spend the evening learning from the best in the industry, what trends we needed to focus on in 2025. What did I learn? That the businesses that will stand out will: 1 ) create genuine connections with their clients and audience, 2) use their genuine authentic voice because that’s what their clients need the most, 3) figure out how to do more listening in their coaching than telling. I also heard that AI, while a time saver and helper, can’t replace….YOU. And people out there, want, YOU, authentically. I saw so many parallels to authentic leadership. It comes back to people want leaders who can bring their genuine selves to the workplace and who in turn create genuine connections, and listen more than they tell. 2025, will be the year for more authentic, true to you, heart centred leadership, I think. How exciting is that?

People are desperate to work with authentic leaders (even if they don't say it in public): Because authenticity in leadership is highly valued. The truth is that many leaders are not authentic. They lost their human touch with their people. They perceive that these traits dilute their leadership presence and authenticity downplays power. In my view... 🙏 Your people don't want to work with a robot. They'll have enough robots around soon. They want to work with leaders who are: ↳ Real ↳ Honest ↳ Genuine Authenticity means being true to yourself. It's when your words, actions, and feelings all match. It's being true to your own values and beliefs, even when it's hard. What's your view? How often have you heard somebody say, “We must think outside the box”? I would say, fabulous idea! But 998 out of 1000 times, what follows is more thinking from inside the same box. Why? Well, we can’t think outside of the box as long as: a. You don’t know you’re in a box b. You don’t know what the box is made of c. You don’t know who constructed the box Until you get clear about all those things the idea of thinking outside of the box is simply a nice management slogan. And the result is… more of the same.
