Ok. We're getting close to the end of the year... And I'm feeling spicy. Let's talk unusual business function pairings. Your job title doesn’t define innovation. But here’s what does: → Uncommon pairings → Fresh perspectives → Cross-functional teamwork → Breaking silos And most importantly, → Challenging norms Here are some uncommon pairings that should be the norm: ☑ Legal + Product Design: Legal teams ensure compliance, while product design focuses on user experience. Together, they create products that are legally robust and user-friendly, turning user agreements into a competitive advantage. ☑ Finance + Customer Service: Finance is back-office, customer service is frontline. When combined, they craft customer-centric pricing models and flexible financing options, connecting customer experience with financial strategy. ☑ Facilities Management + Employee Wellness: Facilities manage spaces, wellness focuses on health. Aligning these functions designs workspaces that promote health and productivity, impacting employee satisfaction and retention. ☑ Data Science + CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility): Data science optimizes operations, CSR focuses on social impact. This pairing uses data to solve global challenges, like disaster relief and energy optimization, aligning profit with purpose. ☑ Quality Assurance + Customer Experience: QA ensures technical standards, customer experience focuses on user feedback. Together, they create a holistic definition of quality, balancing technical excellence with user satisfaction. We've all heard, "Collaboration is key to innovation and success." Welp, what's better than integrating diverse expertise. Which pairing resonates with you the most? 👍 Like and ♻️ Repost to help others! And follow Ben S. Cooper for more content like this.

Digital Robots are your dullest employees ever... You will never meet a digital or virtual robot. Not at the coffee machine, not at a company party, not even in a meeting. You don’t need to ask how their weekend was or have to listen to the stories about their boring family trip. They just work. 24/7/365. Never complain. Never sick. Never late. They are like your always-on and always-available remote worker. They take away all the boring work, all the repetitive tasks that keep you away from your strategic projects, the BHAGs, and reaching your target. The good news? There is no shortage in the market. No lengthy recruitment process. They can start within 2 weeks. And the onboarding is just as easy as sending us a short movie with your mobile phone showing what to do. GEC Digital Europe Limited will do the training and the onboarding. So you can focus on what really matters. Risk-free, saving you 70% of the time spent on boring work, imagine how happy your team will be! Not satisfied (you would be the first!)? Just fire the robot anytime you want. No yearly contract. Just pay for performance. Interested? Contact Dirk Buursma or me now and we will show you.

Hey team! 🌟 Let’s talk about something super cool that’s going to make our lives a lot easier—automated workflows! 🚀✨ What’s an Automated Workflow? 🤔 Imagine you have a bunch of routine tasks you do every day. They’re important, but they can be time-consuming and, let’s be honest, a bit boring. Automated workflows are like your personal assistants that take care of these tasks for you. 🛠️🤖 How Does It Work? 🧠⚙️ An automated workflow is a series of steps performed automatically by a computer program. Here’s a quick breakdown: Trigger: Something happens that starts the process. This could be receiving an email, a document being uploaded, or hitting a certain time of day. 🚀📧 Actions: These are the steps that the workflow will perform. It could be moving files, sending notifications, updating records, and much more. 📂➡️📬 Conditions: Sometimes, the workflow needs to make decisions. For example, “If the email is from a VIP client, send an alert to the manager; otherwise, file it in the client’s folder.” 🤔✅❌ Outcome: The end result of the workflow. This could be a completed task, an updated database, or a notification to you saying, “Hey, it’s done!” 🎉📬 Why Should We Care? 🤷♂️🤷♀️ Here’s why automated workflows are game-changers for us: Saves Time: No more manual data entry or repetitive tasks. The system handles it all, freeing up your time for more important stuff. ⏳✨ Reduces Errors: Automated workflows follow the same steps every time, reducing the chance of mistakes. 🧩🔍 Improves Efficiency: Everything happens faster and more smoothly, which means we can get more done in less time. 🚀💼 Enhances Consistency: Every task is done the same way every time, ensuring a consistent quality of work. 📏✔️ Real-Life Examples 🌟 Here are a few ways we can use automated workflows in our company: Onboarding New Employees: Automatically send welcome emails, set up accounts, and schedule training sessions. 👋📧🗓️ Customer Support: Route tickets to the right team members, send acknowledgment emails, and escalate urgent issues. 📞📬🚨 Marketing Campaigns: Schedule social media posts, send out email blasts, and track engagement. 📱📧📊 Inventory Management: Automatically reorder stock when levels are low, update records, and notify the team. 📦🔄🛒 Getting Started 🚀 We’ll be setting up these automated workflows soon, and trust me, once you get the hang of it, you’ll wonder how we ever managed without them! 🤩 So get ready to welcome this amazing tech upgrade. It’s going to save us time, reduce stress, and make our workflows smoother than ever. Let’s embrace the future together! 🌐🔧🎉 Stay tuned for more updates and training sessions on how to make the most of our new automated workflow system. 🚀💡 Cheers to a more efficient and exciting work life! 💪

Using external experts who bring process, data & automation to augment your internal team is 100% the way to do it. Here's why... 𝟭. 𝗦𝗽𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘇𝗲𝗱 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗶𝘀𝗲 External experts provide deep, specialized knowledge and experience that your internal team may lack. They bring advanced skills in areas such as automation, data analytics, and process optimization so you don't learn as you go 𝟮. 𝗘𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝗽𝗲𝗲𝗱 Experts can implement process improvements, data solutions, and automation more quickly than your internal team due to their experience with similar projects. This accelerates the time-to-value for your initiatives. 𝟯. 𝗖𝗼𝘀𝘁-𝗘𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 Hiring external experts is often more cost-effective than onboarding full-time employees. You save on recruitment, training, and benefits while leveraging the experts' skills and resources for specific projects. 𝟰. 𝗔𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗟𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝗶𝗲𝘀 External experts are knowledgeable about the latest automation tools and technologies. This access to cutting-edge software and techniques ensures you’re using the best solutions available without needing to continually rethink your tech stack 𝟱. 𝗦𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 External support provides the flexibility to scale resources as needed. Whether your project is large or small, you can easily adjust the level of expertise you require without the long-term commitment and overhead of hiring permanent staff. 𝟲. 𝗙𝗼𝗰𝘂𝘀 𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗕𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 By outsourcing specialized tasks like automation and process optimization, your internal team can focus on activities that directly drive business growth. This allows you to allocate resources where they add the most value. 𝟳. 𝗙𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗵 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀 External experts bring innovative ideas and new perspectives, helping you identify inefficiencies and solve problems in ways your internal team may not have considered. This leads to better solutions and a more dynamic approach to challenges. 𝟴. Have you ever thought adding more developers would solve your software woes? Think again! In my journey from software developer to founder of Jventurely, I’ve seen this misconception too many times. Here's why hiring more developers might NOT solve your software development challenges. More isn't always better Adding more people to a project doesn’t automatically speed things up. It might actually slow things down. Think about it. When you introduce new members to a team, you also introduce: > Communication gaps > Longer onboarding times > More room for coordination mishaps > Quality over quantity A smaller team of highly skilled developers can often outperform a larger group. Why? Because they’re more focused, and they understand the project intricacies better. Streamline processes, don't just add people. Automation and process optimization can often yield better results than just adding more hands. At Jventurely, we specialize in tech automation. Our tools help streamline operations and enhance efficiency, ensuring quality output with fewer resources. Culture fit matters. Hiring a large team quickly can dilute your company culture. Hiring team members who resonate with your mission and values is crucial. Effective collaboration tools are key. Instead of expanding the team, invest in tools that facilitate better collaboration among existing members. Tools that can: > Improve communication > Track progress seamlessly > Reduce redundant tasks > Tightknit teams adapt faster Smaller teams are more agile and can pivot quickly in response to changing project requirements. They can adapt without the bureaucracy larger teams might face. So, before you rush to grow your developer team, think about: > Enhancing the skills of your current team > Optimizing your development processes > Investing in collaboration tools Sometimes, less really is more. And remember, it’s not about how many developers you have. It’s about how effectively they work together. Have you faced similar challenges in your tech journey? I'd love to hear your thoughts.

I recently participated in a user feedback session, and for once, I was the one giving feedback rather than gathering it (shoutout to Pathway for the opportunity!). During the session, I was asked "What criteria do you consider when choosing a tool for your work?". As I sat there thinking what I can add to the most obvious one - the budget, it hit me. There’s another critical factor I look for: ✨ Does this product keep small teams in mind? Too often, products lock must-have features behind "business or enterprise" plans, and I can understand the business logic behind it. But when these are features essential for effective work, and the budget jump between licenses is thousands of dollars, makes it a tough pill to swallow. Yes, Dovetail I am looking at you with essential things like workspace fields being disabled in the Professional plan. I'm a team of one: - I still need to demonstrate value to my stakeholders. My previous post and feedback in the DMs showed that there are enough of us out there to take into consideration. - I most definitely don’t have time for manual workarounds to make up for missing features. #UXResearch #SoloUXResearcher

This was a hard read. It's time to take care of your team. I just read the latest (and excellent) Digital, Marketing and Ecomm report from Arktic Fox and Six Degrees Executive. But this stat made me sick. "Enhancing the employee experience" was rated the lowest priority for the next 12 months. Utilising 1st part data was considered 10x more important. In this same report, marketing leaders also stated... 🤔 40% say their team lacks the capability for digital transformation 🤔 47% are not resourced appropriately to realise the potential of ecommerce 🤔 64% are having difficulty hiring within their budget range Welll... no shit hey? Maybe if we prioritised a happy, stable and productive team over cookies, AI tools and new software with fancy acronyms, we'd be in a much better place. While the trading environment is tough and the technology is exciting, now is the time to show your team you care.
