🚗 "Take Flyover" - Subtle UX wins! 🚀 I used to get a bit lost on Google Maps near flyovers, wondering, “Should I go up or stay on the main road?” But yesterday, I noticed this small update directly tells us to "Take Flyover." It’s amazing how such a small UX tweak can make a huge impact on our driving experience. Reduces Anxiety : Driving in traffic especially in unfamiliar areas can be a frustrating experience. This update feels like having a friend beside you, pointing you the right way. Human Touch : It focuses on really understanding and addressing the everyday problems people face. #Day2DayUX Optimising Uber's UX : Small Actionable for a Smoother Ride While reserving an Uber today for 4:30 PM, I noticed a small but impactful opportunity to enhance the user experience: a “Upcoming rides” banner. 🔎 What’s Missing? After scheduling a ride, there’s no immediate reminder of the upcoming booking displayed prominently. A simple banner showing my next ride's time and date would make it much easier to track future rides without navigating through multiple screens. Once a driver is assigned, the banner could seamlessly transition to the existing ride view, maintaining a smooth user flow. 📅 Pre-booking for Time Periods. Another great feature could be offering users the ability to pre-book rides for specific time periods, such as daily commuting or recurring rides. With this Uber can reduce uncertainty and build user confidence, ensuring a transparent experience. 📍 Traveling between San Antonio and Atlanta, I was impressed by the seamless hyper-personalization experience offered by Delta Airlines! ✈️ This seat screen takes personalization to a whole new level. By simply scanning a QR code, I logged in within seconds and instantly had access to a fully personalized entertainment space. What’s even more impressive? I could continue watching movies and shows from where I left off on previous flights! 🎥📱 This is personalization done right: ✅ Easy to use (scan and go!) ✅ Intuitive UX ✅ Highly effective and genuinely useful Delta truly demonstrates how smart, human-centric design can elevate the travel experience. Can anyone help me understand the rationale behind Rapido’s strategy of not activating the wallet option for cabs and autos? It’s interesting that the wallet is enabled only for bike bookings. Using technology backwards from ALL customer needs! I noticed something interesting with Uber's new airport feature. It’s great that they’ve introduced a feature to welcome customers **arriving** at the airport, but it seems they missed a huge part of the equation—what about those of us using Uber to **depart** from the airport? In below I used Uber to reach HYD airport but I think a use case was missed. Requesting folks to help fix it. 🚀 Rapido Product Teardown: Game-Changing User-Centric Features 🚀 In my recent teardown of Rapido, I identified two innovative UI/UX improvements that could elevate the platform’s user experience, especially during peak hours: 1️⃣ Tipping for Faster Rides During rush hours, users often face delays in getting a ride. Introducing a tipping option during ride searches could: Allow users to offer an additional incentive for Captains to accept their ride faster. Improve ride allocation efficiency during high-demand periods. Provide users more control over their experience while rewarding Captains for their prompt service. This feature aligns incentives for both users and Captains, ensuring a win-win during peak times! 2️⃣ SmartChat for Seamless Communication Miscommunication can cause frustration during pickups. Adding SmartChat with pre-set messages like: “I’ve arrived at the pickup point.” “Please wait a moment.” “Could you share your live location?” This feature streamlines conversations, reduces confusion, and enhances the pickup experience, even in noisy or crowded areas. Why These Features? These small yet impactful changes tackle real user pain points, improve satisfaction, and build loyalty by addressing both time sensitivity and communication clarity.
