The expansion of subsidized renewable energy has had a significant impact on the nuclear power industry in the United States. The nuclear industry in the U.S. has faced pressure from the expansion of subsidized renewable energy in recent years. This, coupled with relatively low-cost natural gas resources, has led to challenges for the nuclear power industry in maintaining competitiveness in the electricity market.
