API stands for International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property. You may wonder why this actually is matching with the acronym AI. This is due to the fact that a IPI was founded in 18197 and happens to be the oldest international IP association worldwide. And at that time everyone was speaking French. So it actually stands for Association Internacional. Pour la protection de la. Propriety intellektuell. Yeah, PPI today has three main pillars of its substantive work. First, the resolutions. The resolutions are work products of AI which outline how intellectual property should be in the future, meaning we aim to be thought leaders and how to develop and improve intellectual property worldwide. Second, the API World Congress and the midterm meeting. We are aiming to provide world class education to the IP community worldwide by organizing panel sessions, mock trials and a IPI cafes which are more informal type of conversations and discussions. Third, the standing committees of AIP I. Currently we have 26 standing committees, all stuffed with very distinguished scholars and practitioners from around the globe. These standing committees study various topics of intellectual property rights, for example, standards and patents, plant varieties, trademarks, and so forth. The PO is the worldwide thought and technology leader among the I offices. The answer seems to be pretty clear, it's artificial intelligence. Artificial intelligence will have a massive impact on the practice of I offices worldwide and how professionals around the globe are actually working. And I'm very glad to say that API aims to be the thought leader in that respect. And we are going to study this topic in the upcoming resolution projects and also at our upcoming congresses.
