I deeply appreciate those who make learning approachable. The willingness to share knowledge is one of the things I love about the #RubyOnRails community. I saw Collin Jilbert present at RailsConf and loved his presentation. If you get a chance, check out his podcast where he shares some of his and Chris's experiences. https://lnkd.in/gfReKa2k #RailsConf #ROR #Ruby #LearningCommunity #TechTalks #PodcastRecommendations #DevCommunity

At Outlier Ventures we have an internal forum where members from Token Design, Product & Engineering, Research and Legal talk about what's going on in the Web3 space. We've been dying to share this with the world, and today’s the day! 🙌 It's also my first ever podcast as co-host so I'm quite excited to kick this off together with Jasper De Maere. The first episode is Memecoins: Fads or Future? Exploring their Role in Web3 We explore what memecoins mean, how they've evolved over time, and whether they're having a net positive impact on the Web3 ecosystem. We tackle some tough questions: are memecoins contributing to market fatigue? Are they just a flash in the pan or is there something more fundamental at play? And because we love numbers, we'll get into some concrete metrics that show their impact So if you I got your attention listen and sign up to DeFriday on Spotify following the link below. https://lnkd.in/e4ienDN3

If you know me, then you’ll know I’m an avid podcast listener. An addict in fact. I spend a lot of time sending podcasts that I think are relevant to my friends and colleagues in the hope they can learn something too. So, I thought I’d share a podcast a week that I have listened to and thought was brilliant. And maybe some thoughts on why. My first recommendation is Patrick O'Shaughnessy, CFA interview of Michael Ovitz from CAA on #InvestLikeTheBest Top Learnings: 1. Creativity takes time and space … but sometimes creatives might need a bit of a trigger. 2. Dream big and own the entire market. He speaks specifically about breaking down the idea that competing actors and creatives needed to have different agents. He challenged the status quo and by representing all actors had better visibility of their pipelines and dreams - and could optimise what scripts the actors received accordingly. 3. The power of branding and the colour red. Stand out and be different from the market - all the scripts had a red cover vs. the black cover of the entire market. 4. Put talent together with money and get them distribution. The similarities between tech investing and talent investing. It’s all about people. 5. Never underestimate the power of dinosaurs on our imagination. https://lnkd.in/ePDRDC6Y
