Last week, the Trump-Vance Administration hit the ground running, enacting a wide-ranging number of Executive Orders. Seven of these directly impacted the world of work, including one targeting DE&I initiatives.    How should organizations move forward?   At SHRM, we see these new policies as an opportunity for all of us to evaluate and evolve. Review existing DE&I practices to ensure that all programs pursue inclusion in compliance with federal law, especially Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. Learn more about these changes and best next steps by joining the members-only webinar I'll be hosting on Tuesday, February 4 at 12pm ET. Looking forward to this webinar. This information will be good in understanding how the legislative landscape will take shape and prepare organizations on how they need to pivot.

I'm curious to know how the leadership team of the world's largest HR organization will reconcile this post against the actions that this administration has taken already to further marginalize certain groups of people? Actions such as (in no particular order): ~ Removing the Spanish language links to the White House website (which is an accessibility issue)? ~ Laying off federal employees who worked in a DEI related capacity? ~ Forcing federal employees to return to work (which is a disability issue)? ~ Issuing an executive order stating that they're only two genders (thus attempting to legally erase transgender people)? In plain, clear language, please explain where you, as well as the organization, stands on these matters.
