Nature has spent billions of years evolving enzymes as a method for efficient catalysis, but most industrially relevant chemical reactions are not found in nature. We are building generative models that learn from natural enzymes to design new-to-nature enzymes that enable efficient biocatalysis throughout the $6 trillion chemical industry. We are a team of 4 Oxford AI researchers and scientists who moved to San Francisco to start Ligo. We are looking to expand the team and excited to meet curious, smart, fun people looking for a new opportunity in AI for Science.
