We had our first executive summit in Boston. Here are my 3 takeaways from it: 1. Positioning of LiftLab within the marketplace: There are a bunch of competitors coming out with really cool things, and a couple of internal messaging we need to clear up. We're focusing on explaining what we do more effectively to our customers. Positioning was one critical piece we discussed to ensure LiftLab stands distinctively in the competitive landscape. 2. Direction of product development: We explored ambitious questions about how LiftLab can transcend being merely a tool for the marketing team to becoming integral across the company. We aim to grow our product in such a way that it becomes more useful for more functions and more people within a business, thereby maximizing the democratization of the model. 3. Prioritization of quality data and robust models: With models, it's the quality of the data that determines output. We discussed how to input more quality data rather than adding complexity to our model. It’s about making our signals even more robust by possibly purchasing other data, ensuring the output is as reliable and effective as possible. This all boiled down to just moving the tree trunk a little to the left or a little to the right. Such decisions might seem minor, yet they are crucial in determining how the branches—our company’s various elements—will grow and develop. As a former practitioner and individual contributor who might have seen these as small shifts, I now understand their significant impact on our strategic direction and the importance of these subtle yet profound changes at the executive summit. #summit #companybuilding
